Dybwad-Olsen AS has a history going back to 1928, when H. Hornemann established a company in Oslo in his own name, dealing with marine bunkers and lubricants. Since then, the company has represented Gulf Oil in Norway, and later Chevron Petroleum after the Chevron - Gulf merger in 1984. The company changed to its present name in 1979, when Ola Dybwad-Olsen took over as sole owner and manager.
Following the take over of Hornemann, Dybwad-Olsen AS reorganised and expanded its activities within the agency and marketing of products and services to the shipping industry. As marine lubricants is still the back-bone of the company our main representation is Chevron Marine Products, the division responsible for the marketing and sales of Global Marine Lubricants. In January 2008 Chevron Products company renamed its marine fuels and lubricants business from Fuel & Marine Marketing (FAMM) to Chevron Global Marine Products. Chevron is today the result of the merger between Chevron and Texaco in 2001 and has provided customers in regions around the globe with access to quality marine products and services under the company's three world-class international brands - Chevron, Texaco and Caltex.
The bunker business was organised under a separate company, Euro-Oil AS, who shared offices and facilities with Dybwad-Olsen AS, until the merger with Aagaard Bunker Brokers AS, as of May 1, 2000. Later called Wilhelmsen Bunkers AS. Today we have a consultancy agreement with Integra Fuels Oslo AS. A company in the Navig8 Group, with offices in London, Oslo and Singapore.
